Tour Information
A free public walking tour of the Refuge is normally held on
the last Saturday of each month. Interested parties meet
outside the base main gate at 8:30 am. The tour lasts for
approximately two hours and covers a walking distance of one
mile round trip.  Reservations are required at least 48 hours
in advance, and no cameras are permitted.

The tour is given by the Friends Of The Seal Beach National Wildlife
Refuge, in cooperation with the Department of the Navy and the Fish
and Wildlife Service.   For reservations or more information, contact
the Wildlife Refuge at  (562) 598-1024.

2012 Tour Dates
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer work days occur on the first Wednesday of each month from 8 A.M. until noon, and are open to all
US citizens with a Government ID. Participants must register two days in advance by calling 562-598-1024
and will be picked up from the Main Gate parking lot (800 Seal Beach Blvd.) at 7:55 A.M.  Activities typically
involve work in the native plant nursery, planting native plants, weeding, and trash pick-up.
